Courses are available for all levels of experience from the novice to the current operator.

Novice Operator Courses (3-5 days)* are for those operators who have no experience on a lift truck

Experienced/Current Operator Courses (2-3 days)* are for those operators who are experienced on the lift truck and are requiring formal training and testing

Refresher Courses (1 day)* are for those operators who have been previously trained and tested and are requiring to renew a license of 3 years or more

Conversion Training Courses (1-2 days)* are for those operators who have been formally trained and tested on one truck, and are requiring the same on a different lift truck

*The course lengths are dependant on the number of operators to be trained, and their experience on the lift truck. The maximum number of operators we can train on any one course is three.

Fork Lift Operator Training Includes:

Introduction to the lift truck to be used for training, controls and instruments
Operator’s Safety Code with appropriate Safety film
Lift Truck Stability
Correct procedures for mounting/dismounting
Start, moving, stopping and steering the lift truck
Operation of the hydraulic controls
Weight assessment and lift truck stability
Handling unladen pallets and laden loads
Stacking/de-stacking procedures
Driving on/off ramps and inclines
Road vehicle loading/unloading procedures
Lift truck pre-use checks
Refuelling procedures

Operator Training Courses are available for a wide range of forklift trucks, including:

Pivot Steer/Bendi

Sideloading

Rough Terrain Telescopic

Rough Terrain Masted

Very Narrow Aisle (V.N.A's)

Multi-Directional

Upon successful completion, you will receive for each of your operators a certificate of operator training; and ID card if required; instructors report sheet, detailing information on the course and equipment used and a training record to confirm the training received.

ONLY TRAINED & CERTIFICATED OPERATORS SHOULD OPERATE LIFT TRUCKS

CDR training will provide a sample form for you to record the operators' authorisation to operate and includes information on identifying any attachments and areas of operating.

Forklift Pre-Use Operational Checks

Drivers should check the vehicle at the start of every shift. They will need training on carrying out appropriate checks and reporting problems this is covered in our training programmes.
