Accidents involving forklift trucks figure prominently in accident statistics, both in damage to property and injury to personnel.  Internal transport is only 2nd to falling from heights for deaths and prosecutions in industry.

Knowing how to operate equipment correctly cuts down the chances of mistakes being made and accidents occurring.  Having had proper training for equipment means your operators will be able to operate more safely and efficiently than someone who hasn't
.

Training is a requirement of law - Employers have a duty under Health & Safety law to ensure that all operators are provided with information, instruction and training, even if only secondary or occasional users.

Our courses are designed to develop the operators skills, and highlight their responsibility for their own safety and that of those who are working around them.

Training also enables the operators to gain the skills needed for efficiency and productivity using the equipment to the benefit of your business - meaning less downtime, less damage and a better profit margin for your company.

Thorough Examination of industrial lift trucks is required under Health and Safety Law; LOLER 1998, which covers lifting regulations, and PUWER 1998, which deals with all other safety-related items, such as brakes, steering and tyres. Your regular inspections as part of a preventive maintenance scheme or scheduled service are not a Thorough Examination. See HSE guidance for more -  Thorough examination of lifting equipment
